Passenger door piping open now not working at all lol

Passenger door kept popping open whilst driving along. Not it won't open at all... I think I prefer the popping open lol.

Any one any suggestions.. Less than a day into ownership lol. I'd take the door pannel off to have a gander but I can't open the door lol

Ok a search seems to suggest the bowden cable? Seems like an easyish fix but I need to get the door card off to do it and I can't without the door open... Typical lol

The wifes Mini had the same problem , removed the door "card" and manipulated the cable in to taking a longer route , works OK , however,eventually the cable will need replaced

yeah got teh door open n the door card off, someones had a right bodge job go at it previously.. managed to distroy the door membrane at the same time was all held together with tape..

deffo needs a new cable, and ill replace the membrane whislt im at it.. door now opens from the inside so at least its a working door again
