Just to say had to get a power cut off in boot as had battery drain. All being well found the problem this week. Both wing mirrors were constantly heating. Disconnected them for now so hopefully problem solved.
Will look into sorting mirrors but no panic only drive it in the summer.
Just something I never thought of checking as had spent time checking pocket light between seats but not it was fine.

Did not solve it thinking it’s doing no harm as only used occasionally, have cut off switch in boot but it’s just the pain of each time it’s turned back on you get the airbag light so I have to clear it. Is there a simple way to do away with the airbag light completely without having to find bmw scan tool I just have the I carsoft multi tool it’s clears faults ok but can’t permanently turn of the seatbelt signal that I’m aware of .

What are you cutting off? If the battery is disconnected the airbag light won't come on, so you must be doing something different. Would also be useful to know what airbag code you are getting?

It’s when I park up
I have power cut off in boot to cut power from car , but when turned on it triggers the airbag light as meant too as it has picked up a low v signal , but then I have to use my decoder to clear it / when car sits good while there’s a drain on battery that’s why put cut off switch in boot , so rather than spend a fortune trying to find the drain as it’s nothing obvious, I was going to get the airbag light turned off permanently which you can do on 2004 E85 but I think you need a bmw type reader , don’t want to go to bm was looking someone local to me , I believe it’s very simple 5 minute . And does no harm.
