Coolant Loss during Mickey Mouse Flange Removal

My 2011 Z4 3.0 needs a oil filter housing gasket. I'm planning to do the mickey mouse flange at the same time. How much coolant loss can I expect? I have a 1 litre container of fluid available. Will that be enough? If it helps, my car will be on a very steep incline when I do the job.

1L will be more than enough. Can’t remember how much I had to add when I did the same job, less than 0,5L I think.
But someone else willprobably chime in and tell how much off I am.

Micke's post sounds right. To save mess, I used large capacity syringe to pull out 500ml via the top hose bleed screw on my e85 with the n52. Only lost a few drops and could put back in from the syringe. Also avoids risk of getting coolant on the serpentine belt. Good luck!

I finished the job but spilled more coolant than expected during the bleeding process. Left the cap off and it just blew out the top. As expected, the mickey mouse flange just fell apart. Only 90K miles on the car. I honestly don't know how it wasn't leaking.

Also did old filter gaskets. I used a torx E10 swivel socket 1/4" drive on a long extension.
