E85 ROOF GETS STUCK WHEN GOING UP

Morning All,

1000 miles with no problems! must be a new record!

This morning I put the roof down, no issues, as usual! The roof motor has been rellocated to the boot many moons ago. I tried to put the roof up after a drive, roof cycle starts (motor wirrs), roof unlatched and comes up and stops rigid half way. When clicking the button the roof jolts a couple more times in an attempt to keep going but after maybe 3 the button becomes unresponsive.

Any ideas?

I’m saying loom break due to the jerky movement

As above, it’s usually a little red wire buried in the loom which runs above the window on the passenger side. It’s pretty obvious where the loom folds, so start there. Splicing together the broken wire should do the trick.
