What did you do to your Z4M today?

IMG_3540.jpeg

Went for a run up to the Col de l’Iseran via Moncenisio to escape the relentless heat. Unfortunately so did half of Europe. Still, nice to get out for a long drive.

Only bad thing was I found the mother of all door dings right by the mirror. It’s broken the paint and doesn’t look like an easy spot for a dent guy to get in.

Looking at the pic and his sig pic, looks like that is his favourite angle :)

It is a great pic though and that door ding - I hope there is a body somewhere down the ravine ....

Yeah, I should probably try another!

As for the ding, I checked the car that parks in the spot next to mine but no signs of paint or damage on theirs, it also looks like the rear door is lower than the ding. No odea where it was picked up though as I haven’t parked it anywhere since I polished it… could be intentional I suppose as there were signs someone had been poking around it.

Thanks. They list only one side in stock at the moment, but the give prices in Australian dollars, so presumably they’ll ship them to me in Sydney. I’ll contact them.
Correct I looked up the p/n and found a third party seller on Amazon had it listed for few bucks more so bought the left side separately.

Not particularly interesting but my car has passed it’s MOT this morning.
This is my 9th MOT and 9th completely clean pass. It’s also 20 years old this month.

Used the Z as a wedding car on Friday at my friend's wedding at Inn on the Lake in Cumbria.

Absolutely stunning day and it was really cool seeing these together.

It was a good opportunity to top up the finish, gave it a two stage, could have done with a three really but it looks incredibly respectable for an 83k 20 year old car with original paint!

Also added new vinyl M badges on the side emblems the rear is still in good condition.

My dad also took his car which is the 911.

The stars were obviously the 458 Spider and 355 GTS which were the groom's father's cars. Even so, I didn't think the Z looked too out of place. Even got the roof covers out!

After spending a lot of time driving with the 355 i was really surprised that the Z holds its own although it is a generation on from the 355.

Potentially the perfect two sports car garage!

1. Serviced the wiper motor

2. Finally managed to get all the air out of my brake lines on the 2nd flush attempt.

3. Fitting new tires for track duty
