New to Z4 coupe ownership, have a few questions on audio options.

Hey guys,
i just purchased a Z4 - e86 coupe manual
its a weird spec, silver with blue individual full leather inside/dash, Z4M wheels. Haven't seen this before especially the leather
The car looks lovely but needs some work obviously at this age.

I'm looking to upgrade the audio system first and then get onto the mechanicals.

annoyingly it has the outdated nav screen and the base standard 6 speaker setup.

https://vibeaudio.co.uk/product/powerbox65-4m-v7 - can i just connect this behind the factory unit? this unit helps as it gives me pre-outs for a small boot sub.
Can i also connect a wired Bluetooth receiver behind this amp and if so what's the best one?

I'm going to replace the 2 speakers in the footwell/tweeter and maybe add a 4 inch - 165AS3 - or can someone recommend something else?

has anyone replaced the nav screen with the X3 storage bin?

there's some info on this online but it's fairly unclear and outdated now.

any help appreciated.

ill get some photos to follow!

Cheers
Sam

Hi and welcome to the forum Sam.

I'm sure people have fitted speakers behind the grilles in the front doors and found that an improvement, as well as fitting better speakers in the footwell.

You should be able to find details on that, Bluetooth connectivity and replacing the Nav screen with a storage unit with a bit of searching on here.

As a fellow E86 owner I'm looking forward to some photos, as it sounds like your car has an unusual spec - presumably the interior is Syrah Blue?

Welcome Sam, and an excellent choice of Z4 😊.
The residents love pictures, especially of unusually spec'd cars.
This thread, I am sure has some information on audio upgrades, along with just about everything else on an E86 😉

Thanks all,
Does anyone know anyone who has installed the vibe amp?
Those vibe amps are great little amps. I've got the 65.4 running my 4 x mids and tweeters and the 400.1 running 2 x 6" subs, and it sounds superb, albeit it's an e89.
