tell us the worst car you ever owned

Austin Alegro drank more oil than fuel 36k miles on clock most expensive engine rebuild on Audi TT 2010 $14k ouch 😩 still have the car

Old thread but hey
Reliant Robin, the car served a purpose, only had a motorcycle licence at the time, the car wasn't that bad but the heater was so poor I drove in a sleeping bag during winter.
On a funny note, I used to be able to drift it in wet weather around junctions, much to the amusement of pedestrians lol

The plastic pig! I saw one once hit the central reservation on a dual carriageway in Croydon, it just exploded, chunks of fibre glass flying everywhere and all that was left was the driver sitting on his seat

It's a toss up between my current 2026 Audi A6 Avant E-Tron and my 2006 Aston Vantage V8

Both had faults galore. More time in the garage than on the road.

My 1990 Renault 5 was a better car!

Best car, probably the 2015 50th anniversary 911 Carrera S. Followed by the BMW I4 M50, and the Evo powered RX8

I don't even have a photo of the Audi, so had to get a shot off the doorbell 😅
What is this car:

I deleted the post you quoted because the image wouldn’t post correctly. Seeing your list, it was the Maserati I was referring to. I’d forgotten they had bonnet vents.

Porsche 928S (rare Manual)

I was 22 and stupid.

Bought it for £3,000 in October 2000 right after the fuel crisis. Basically the previous owner had to fill up at a remote rural petrol station, dragged 42 years of the stations petrol storage dregs into the tank, then sold it.

I bought it from the overly friendly car salesman. Once at home I opened up the fuel tank inspection cover (wish I knew about that when I bought it :ROFLMAO:) to find sludge floating about, reminiscent of a giant 2ft wide fried egg.

Spent many £££££ to fix it. Got it running, then my brother over filled the oil and blew the cork (yes cork) sump gasket out and blew the engine up.

Total cost: £14-15,000.

Total miles driven: 51

Sold for: £2,500

What a bargain :ROFLMAO:

Out of all the cars that I have owned , I would have to say that the Volvo 265 GLE estate WAS probably the worst car that I remember buying. Okay it was a nice car and it was dirt cheap, however it could not pass a petrol station without having to go and fill up. OMG this drank more petrol than my Daimler Sovereign and that did 12MPG on a good week. I will say that the car never broke down or caused any problems whilst I owned it , but damn it cost more to run than the Daimler, and I just scrapped it when the MOT expired.

MG4 Xpower

A litany of issues including the dreaded vibration at 65+ mph

and the worst dealers (never had a JLR though!)
