Hi @bigwinn is this Oregon leather?
Just wondering if I can somehow make this work with my champagne nappa leather inserts. Also interested in the surround trim.
Cheers☺️

I was checking this out, but no way I can collect. You could recolour the red. I'd have to recolour it to Imola. Which is fine as I could do it myself. It's not difficult.

It’s New England I believe

I have the seats that I will list (also in dream red) if the person I have promised 1st dibs to says no

It is possible to change the inserts but its not a job for the faint hearted. Plastic has to be cut and snapped and then glued back together.

I did it for my friend who had an early Z4 with grey interior and cloth but wanted black leather inserts.

By the time I had taken the 4th door insert out I had the time down to 20 mins. The first took over an hour.

It would be far easier to paint the red inserts champagne. I would recommend spraying them over other methods as the paint covers better. It's around £100 for the air compressor and gun from furniture clinic and the kit works well. Use a deck of cards to mask around the edges.

Thanks guys, as tempting as this is, I don’t want to risk butchering 2 sets of good cards. Sounds beyond my very limited skill set. If they were nappa I could get recoloured. I’ll leave to someone else this time. Cheers

The difference between New England and Nappa is only slight. Nappa is softer to the touch and has a more uniform grain. To look at they are very similar and most would struggle to tell the difference until you touch it.

Here's a photo of New England compared to Nappa:
