My 2010 Z4 E89 30i (very long) story

You don’t see a first post that includes so much progress. Hats off for getting it back on the road, now time to enjoy it!
 
Top marks for saving the Z4, I admire your commitment and I’m sure you are grateful for all the assistance your father has given you. I feel confident that in the end you will have a beautiful 3.0 to be proud of. 👍
 
Amazing work and congratulations on (I suspect) having the cheapest 30i!

You’ve beaten my £5.5k Msport manual 30i that I picked up in November 2024.

Do you have further plans to tidy up the bodywork and turn her into a true bargain gem?

Thanks! The bodywork is already in fantastic shape amazingly, just has some scratches on the nose by the badge and one on the sil. I will get them done at some point though.

You don’t mention your age, but if this is your first car then I’m guessing the insurance can’t have been cheap! Are you having to have a black box fitted?

Speaking as a father who’s just bought and insured a Kia Ceed for his 17 yr old daughter as she passed her test a week or so ago.

She doesn’t take after me when it comes to cars, and driving styles.. probably not a bad thing :ROFLMAO:

I'm 24, it came to around 1.5k without a black box. Would've ended up being 900 with one, but there was no way I was doing that haha. I imagine if I was 17 mine would be a ton more.

There's always time 😆
