My electric power steering has failed. Has been sent to ECU Testing who have said it is too damaged to be re-furbished. Any thoughts on my next course of action? My thoughts are to replace the unit with a new OEM unit.

people on here like @Street are your best bet to secure a replacement, few others as well, they usually spot posts like yours and post back if they have the parts required.

Not belittling your offer, which is very kind, but I've never seen the motor actually fail. It is the ECU that has the issues.

Oh absolutely, I agree.
I only have it as I've converted to hydraulic and needed the ecu to keep the sport button functionality.

Managed to get a refurbished unit from Global Parts, currently with a local indy dealer for fitting, hoping for a positive outcome!

You’ve done well to find anywhere that will only swap the motor. Usually they want to change the whole column and decimate your bank account.
