Oil filter gasket (N52) replacement question?

First of all, my oil filter assembly also has the cooler module. Some tutorials suggest sucking out about a litre of coolant from the expansion, tank prior to disassembly. Is this really necessary?

I replaced the gasket and did not suck out any coolant from the expansion tank prior to cooler removal.

You only lose about 250-500 ml when you have the ofh off

When fitting new gasket for 3rd time, previous 2 times it still leaked.
Third time i put thin layer of RTV orange sealant.
Cured all leaks.
Lose minimal coolant.
