Potential blocked air con drain

Hi all, not been here for a while, purchased an E89 28i yesterday and the first problem has reared it head. Damp in the passenger footwell I think possibly because the HVAC unit drain is blocked. Has anyone else had this. There are a few old posts but no definitive solution.

I’ve read that the tube from the condenser can become disconnected and it then drains into the footwell, unfortunately I believe it’s a dash out job to reconnect it, check all the seals around the door and roof first though as it could be coming in there.
Are you getting water under the car when it’s stationary with the aircon running?

I’ve read that the tube from the condenser
Evaporator. Condenser is in front of the radiator (and doesn't create any condensation). Unless it's a reverse cycle heat pump, which I have never seen on a car TBH. ;)

You won't necessarily see anything at this time of year in the UK, but yes it is a good indication that the drain is connected normally.

Not had time to check yet as only bought it yesterday, we've not had any rain for a while so suspect aircon drain. i fear you are right about the drain being disconnected or leaking. Sounds like a pig of a job.
