Hi
I’m hoping somebody can help me with this problem
  • We have pulled out the tank and cleaned it wasn’t bad
  • Cleaned filters both of them they were grubby unblocked nozzles
  • Checked pumps are working they are
  • Activated pumps in a separate water container washers worked perfectly
  • Filled up reservoir water tank pump works no water dispensed
  • All lines cleaned out nozzles cleaned all working when using a separate plastic water container to the bmw reservoir tank
Any advice on why the reservoir tank doesn’t dispense water it’s not cracked could it be the two rubber grommets that hold the pumps in place it’s bizarre thank you

Hi it does spray water with the bonnet open using the separate water tank however the z4 tank no go

Your water lines are kinked when the bonnet is down

See how they lay and stop any hard corners the pipe has

Can you hear the pump run when it doesn’t spray? As Stuart says, kinked pipe or possibly the pipe has dropped onto a hot exhaust while you were tinkering and is gently washing the engine bay

Re the pumps actually working when they are in the bottle. I've just had a pump leak, and when I took them out it basically "broke the seal" on the filter / grommets and they failed, so I had to replace those with fresh ones. Essentially the rubber had gone hard and didn't seal when I put them back in and was sucking air in.

Hi thanks for the feedback I will check these out re kinks in pipes and seals and report back in a few days as I’m away

Hi
Updating you on the chain of events after multiple times of taking the tank out checking lines leaks pumps etc it turns out we cut off the Febi blistien mesh filter leaving the grommet attached hay presto it works fine have ordered a new filter $20 spent a lot of time problem solving this one ☝️
Cheers 🍻
