Z4 23i 29E1 and 29E0

Hi people,

I am getting the above mentioned codes. The car just came back from a 2000km trip
and seems to be running fine. The average consumption was 7.3l/100km during this time
and the cold start seems Ok with just slight fluctuations in revs which settles quickly.

What is also present is a feint fuel smell in the cabin at the start, cant tell if it persists or
I just get used to it after.

I read in other threads that this can imply several things, o2 sensors, injectors, MAF sensor,
vacuum leaks etc but can anyone help in trying to narrow down the problem?

Car is a 2009 with 185.000 on the clock.

Exhaust sensors?

Do an ISTA sensor check..

My car stinks of fuel on start but otherwise runs great.

I don't have ISTA, can these checks be done with Protools?

@flybobbie, did your car spring up these errors at any point?

Not sure Protool can do the test..I found on quite a few sensors sadly Protool couldn’t quite hack it compared to ISTA
