That was instantly noticeable. I'm hoping to tweak the amps today at some point. What I will say is that it’ll reduce the low frequency boost that the stock equalisation applies to the front channels. This will mean that you’ll have less bass
Honestly, the only way to really get it back is with a DSP. It isn’t amplification that’s the issue; it’s the fact that specific low frequencies have now been reduced. That was instantly noticeable. I'm hoping to tweak the amps today at some point.
In all honesty, I'm not chasing a top of the rage sound system. It is completely night and day compared to what it was when it was just the poverty spec system. I'm generally quite happy with it, but there's always time and room for improvement if I ever feel the need for it.Honestly, the only way to really get it back is with a DSP. Due to the different positions of the various drivers and the fact that they’re commonly driven (per channel), any increase in output to compensate will push up the levels of midrange and tweeters. With the tweeters being positioned at ear level, you’ll have a noticeable peak to high frequencies, which depending on the volume level, is quite uncomfortable.
The only way to fix this is to individually amplify each speaker and/or introduce a DSP to boost the lower frequencies without impacting mid range or tweeters. Without doing this, you’ll be chasing yourself around.
@B21 can comment in more detail but essentially absence of a DSP just means you’re adjusting volume or applying broad boosts without control.

Same with me. An E46 3 series jack is surely what you'd want to use at the side of the road (I have) so no jacking pad required. I only use the latter if I'm using a trolley jack in the garage. That's a shame. Still you can get the jacking pads for less than a fiver on Ebay, and they should have some storage bag options too.
I bought a jack from an E46 3 Series as the top is designed to fit the jacking points!

Just about to push the button on some eibachs too, where did you get them? Can I ask how much they and the Bilsteins cost? I was going to go for springs only.
Yes, that's it.So in this photo here, the white piece fits in the dedicated mount point?
Could be night and dayDropping car off at the garage with this lot shortly(smiling until I see the bill to fit everything).
Full (I think) suspension refresh and having gearbox and diff flushed and fresh fluid as 80k miles with no evidence of change is too long in my opinion.
Going from tired MSport to this should make quite a difference.
