Hi all,
Wondered if anyone could advise that’s good with stereos. Sorry I’m a novice.

My car have the standard BMW business front loading CD player.
I ordered this to fit so I can connect my phone via Bluetooth.

As explained in the video, I tried to fit yesterday but couldn’t get any sound out of the aux as it’s meant to as per instruction.

The other things to note is that the car does have
*The standard iPad module (from factory) still plumbed in as you’ll see in vid.
*Also has the factory cd/dvd nav system in centre console (original from factory - head unit changed to front loader from original nav unit)

Not sure either of these could be impacting Bluetooth playback?? 🤔

Thanks in advance 🤞🏻👍🏻

In the majority of the E85 (7) & E86's (6) I've owned I've gone with the Bluemusic dongle that plugs in to the CD changer sockets behind the seats. I've never gone with one that provides the mic for phone calls but for music it works great albeit without steering wheel integration.

I've also owned a couple of cars that came with the Grom unit already fitted. Equally great with the added advantage of steering wheel integration.

Odd, I've only ever used the BlueMusic one in the 3 I've had/have, and steering wheel controls have always worked...

Does it work with mic?
I've got it fitted but can't answer my phone with it or talk or do I have to press something ? LOL
Gonna look like a right pleb now if I've not been using it correctly 😂🤦‍♂️

Managed to get this working.
Unplugged & removed the original iPod module and it works a treat (with steering wheel controls), running through the CDC input 😀👌🏻👍🏻
