2003 E85 BMW Z4 3.0 SE Manual
Sterling Grey
3.0 M54, 6 speed manual, 143k miles
MOT until July 2025, registered June 2003, 6 previous owners
2 keys, original service book, owners manual, wallet, BMW UK original spec sheet.
V5 in my name and home address, HPI clear.

For sale is my pre-LCI Z4 which I have owned for since August 2023 and covered approx. 2k miles. I wasn’t planning to sell but my perfect spec E86 became available so that purchase is the reason I am selling. I've just had a new steering angle sensor and starter motor fitted this month.

Over my ownership the car has had its service, MOT and any other work completed at RBM. Previous to that forum member BigWinn owned the car and replaced/upgraded a significant number of major parts (all listed below inc brakes, suspension, clutch, VANOS, water pump etc).

The car is a great mechanical conditional so drives great, with many key and common maintenance items replaced and also some desirable OEM options retro fitted (electric heated sports seats, sport steering wheel, extended leather, 10 speaker system, 224s with PS5 tyres).

Externally the car is in good condition but does have a few imperfections in line with its age and mileage.

Details of the service, maintenance history and specification listed below.

Spec Highlights
• Sport steering wheel and heated Sport seats (electric with driver memory)
• 10 speaker sound system
• 18” 224 Z4M alloys with Michelin PS5 tyres (225/40R18 & 255/35R18, fitted Nov’23 so almost full tread.)
• 325mm front brake upgrade
• ZHP gearknob
• Leather dash (2 pieces) and centre column around gear stick
• Extended leather on A pillar, top of windscreen, knee pads and sun visors
• Cup holders and wind deflector
• Parrott bluetooth kit for music streaming and phone calls
• Clear rear brake light
• Black front grills
• New OEM bonnet, boot BMW badges and mats, new number plates (all in my ownership)
• Relocated roof motor to boot
• CDV delete
• Engine strut brace
• K&N air filter
• OEM cruise control retrofitted
• Sound generator mod (1 foam piece removed and included in sale, 1 remains fitted)
• LED interior lights fitted in all areas and in boot.
• Standard spec of air conditioning, electric folding mirrors, auto lights & wipers and dimming rear view mirror

I’m sure the OP won’t mind me popping on and adding my fourpenneth.

I loved this car- best 3.0i I owned and it came from a chap who also lavished but drove it- no garage queen

If I hadn’t gone the coupe route myself I’d still have it on the drive. No doubt.

I’d happily answer any questions to support the sale and before anyone asks, I didn’t touch the earths on this car

🙏🏻👍🏻

Thanks Stuart, appreciate the comments and the offer to support. I'd be certainly be keeping it if it wasn't for the E86.

This looks like a fantastic car with a great provenance.

Lovely to see previous owners / forum members leaning in to support.

I am after (I think) an E89 then an E86 but there is something rather appealing about this little E85!

I am a big fan of the E86. Less so the E89. But this is such a good time of year to buy and enjoy an E85, it seems a shame not to.

Additional photos of the documentation and history.

Price £4500.

Thanks

Cant give them away at the moment it seems, have had mine up for a couple of weeks and no bites, I am not going to reduce it further rather chuck it in the garage on the trickle charger, yours is a great looking car also

Didn’t yours just sell on eBay?

Reluctantly I have decided to reduce the price again as I would like to move the car on to focus on my E86.

Price is now £3,950.

Tough market at the moment but this seems a bargain for a car with great spec, extensive maintenance history and 12 months MOT. Car is driving spot on, everything works and there are no warning lights.

Thanks
