Hi fellow Z4 forum members!

Its been a little while since this was proposed... so I'm just bumping it up the forum as its not too far away now.

Update on the inaugural south west meet on Sunday 20th October. Please read and respond if you're coming as I need numbers to book the pub meal!

Plans are :

- Meet at Woodleigh Coach House, Cheriton Bishop http://www.woodleighcoach.com 10am for a light breakfast and introductions
- 11am Head to Okehampton,Tavistock, Two Bridges,
- 12pm Warren House Inn for Lunch http://www.warrenhouseinn.co.uk/
- Option for visiting the Motor Museum at Mortenhampstead. Small but perfectly formed! £7 per adult http://moretonmotormuseum.co.uk

Looks good :thumbsup: shame I'm away for this one :( Warren House is a good shout, eaten there a few times and is really nice.

One change to the route I would make is comming of the A386 at Downton and run across the outside of the moor. I know people that have taken this road and say good things, also should get out of the trafffic a bit.

Yes thats a good option and I've cycled that route too so I know it.

I'm not set in stone for that weekend so if the week before works better for everyone I'm happy to move it (I shied away from the 13th purely on superstitious grounds!) :D

I'm booked up for quite a while in October :rofl: Hope there is a good turnout and be great to see it become more than a one off.

Hahaha, superstitious...i’m flying to the mouse house on Friday 13th September!!!

Assuming my flight doesn’t crash and burn then i’m planning on attending.
 
Sounds good to me. Any time between now and the dated suggested is good. Just no later as I will be in NZ.

Some cracking roads up there, in addition to those mentioned. Others will know I drive up there a lot. That route could be done and dusted in under an hour. Will have a think and PM a few suggestions for subtle alterations to pad it out a little. Tricky, untill you have a decent idea of numbers, to know where to stop for photos though.

ok, so noob question now...

What actually happens on a meet? I've never been to one before (I'm quite anti-social really). Missed the chav car park days!

Somebody said breakfast, so obviously thats sold it to me....
 
I'm a noob too. Intoductions to people you've not met in person. Breakfast, talking about cars, driving somewhere on great roads.. parking up a taking photos, having a drink. Seeing what other people have done to their cars. Having a meal whilst talking about z4s! Then driving a bit more.. ive put in an optional stop at the motor museum.. on spokeys suggestion but it's not essential. just my ideas based on what I've heard! Anything you feel I've missed?

excellent. Theres a few who think they can come.so hopefully I wont end up parked in a car on dartmoor all by myself! :rofl:

Nearer than the over 300 mile round trip to Zedfest. But unfortunately i’m away that weekend :cry:
 
Well done Clarker63 for having a bash at organising this. Not enough people take the initiative.

I cant make it personally but I hope it goes well.
