Seems to be a load of rubbish posted on detailing section?????

Phew - just as well I don't visit that bit of the forum!

I got this ad this morning at the bottom of the "spotted" thread.
iOS device.. apart from that, only have the usual Ad bars at the top and bottom of the forum page.

I didn't click the ad so can't tell you what the link is unfortunately.

That isn’t a pop up it’s a bug in the forum style and is displaying the Adsense advert incorrectly. That one is on my list to fix in the next upgrade.

I am getting the exact problems described to the same sites and I'm on Android Chrome. It's only on this website and is a pesky nuisance. Tried multiple AV programs and all scanned my phone as clear.

Is this to do with the ads on the site. I assume they are externally hosted so maybe their server has been hacked and is doing the redirect?

I'm far from an expert, but I had this problem with photobucket site, then the z4forum. I've just had this on a pc where I used Google maps for a restaurant, and when I clicked on the website link, got redirected to an adult site.

I would dearly like to know how this is done as I've checked for viruses and malware but nothing.

Just had a bombardment of redirects on my mobile (Firefox).
I shall post the first couple of websites so they can be blocked.

Just had these redirects, 1 last night and the other 2 in close succession on my Android S8 which is most frustrating. Can these sites be added to the block list?

As far as I can see it's nothing to do with Google ads. It only seems to be affecting Android users, and not all of them at that.

FWIW, I only see ads on here when using my (android) phone, never had the redirects though. I don't get anything using Chrome on the PC.

Try copying this into your chrome browser (apparently works in Android):

chrome://flags/#enable-framebusting-needs-sameorigin-or-usergesture

This should give you an option to enable a feature that prevents this sort of redirects.

Cheers, I will give anything a try as it's been driving me crazy. Also I never have any issues when using the PC.

I had the same on a brand-new Pixel 2 XL. Nothing installed, factory fresh. Definitely a website thing and not a phone issue as far as I can tell.

That suggestion doesn't work on Firefox. (The link is for chrome users only though)
I've tried to find out where to stop or at least warn me of any redirect attempts in Firefox but I can't find the settings.
Resetting the Google Ads ID does seem to work for a while.

Speak of the devil and he shall appear. The url has my location and phone brand and browser type in it and even that I'm with BT. How fu@cked up is that.

Maybe try using Chrome for a while, just to see if it fixes it?
