best colour to paint and restore hubs?

So I have managed to blag some space tomorrow on a mate's ramp at his workshop and plan to take the wheels off and restore the hubs by painting them up.

Not sure on whether to paint the hubs black or silver, has anyone else done this restoration and if so, what shade of paint did you use?

I just used Halfords Zinc primer, Titan silver spray and clear lacquer when I did mine although this is much easier with the discs off the car. This was a good 5 months ago now and they still look great. I have previously used silver Hammerite too which worked okay but you do not get quite as good a finish as you do when spraying them.

Hope this helps.

I'm sure you get spray versions of Hammerite? I'm sure I've got some kicking around?
