So close to pulling the trigger on this but can't justify at the moment :(
Might be useful for someone else though, from Cutters forum, CA Automotive have 1 new Eisenmann race exhaust for £685 plus £30 delivery, bargain I believe usual price is over a grand!

I know. Few sounds clips I've heard sounds awesome as well although I suspect RPI kinda loud. You could probably buy this, stick it on for a while and sell it for the same price again. If only I had the spare dough!

I did some research last night and people say it has a fair bit of drone (most aftermarket boxes do) and it's pretty loud for a daily driver. Sounds less bassy than my stromungs were though going by the videos.

I've had Eisenmann Sport on a 550i (V8) and it was perfect! I suspect the race could be a bit much!

I wouldn't give up my Stromung up for anything! :driving:

Had one one my old M3 and there was far too much drone for daily use, the tone was also too deep and it sounded a bit pants. Went to a Supersprint race (not lightweight race) and it was far better.

also goes to show just how much margin is in these parts...... thats a monster discount and i bet if you offered 600 he'd take it but.... i dont trust CA!!!

How come you don't trust ca?

I've had extremely bad customer service from CA on more than one occasion.
I expect you'll find that duty and perhaps VAT will be levied at customs making the final price a little less attractive. Of course, CA will tell you that the price they quote is the total and final price you'll pay....then the courier will refuse to release the product until customs charges and VAT are settled! (Voice of experience with a different product)

Surely that's not legal if they are uk based & selling from blighty?

If I buy a watch from japan & import myself, then I expect to pay.

If I order from a uk business, then I expect a landed, delivered quote.

Exhaust will come from the factory in Germany (assuming CA don't actually have it in stock). So no import or duty or VAT due. This was certainly the case when I bought my Eisenmann.

I assume BMWZ4MC items came from the US.

gwatson, that's correct, the item came from the US. However, CA stated that they had it in stock in the UK (so there would be no additional costs to pay) and that delivery would be within a few working days. Once I'd paid, I heard no more for ages until I chased them, at which point they told me that goods imported from the US take longer to be delivered!! (still no mention of customs duties). mj2k - this is one of several reasons I avoid CA.

Yeah that's not on!! Did you manage to get the VAT refunded from CA? Sure as hell they won't have paid VAT on it!

No, it wasn't worth the headache as I had greater demands on my time. However, I do make a point of mentioning it in every thread where CA is recommended

You should email them each thread you mention it on :fuelfire:

I have a company who shafted me, and make reference to them whenever the question arises about them being trustworthy. It has certainly cost them more business than the £150 they fleeced me for....plus brings a childish smile to proceedings for me :D

Yep, same here - you just have to be a little careful not to be libellous, simply reporting fact
