Today i have hoovered my roof again. Its a pain in the arse keeping it clean :headbang:

How many people use a cover and is there any particular 1's that are best?

Are you keeping it in a garage or outside on the drive / street?

I'm going down to halfords tomorrow to buy the Autoglyn kit.

Looks to have pretty decent reviews but I'm not sure it will protect from the elements

i have done mine with that and it works well for water protection, does stop the roof from getting dirty though

The windy weather won't have helped the last few days , ive no experience of them but if my roadster was laid up the majority of the week outside not moving then a roof cover would be a must , otherwise you will forever chase your tail from any work you put in to refresh it

My car lives under a cover all the time it's not in use, the roof stays clean form the flying aresholes around here

the renovo stuff is better, i tried that kit and tbh the only thing worthwhile in it is the sponge (it's actually really good, the sponge)

I agree renovo cleaner is better.

I dyed and proofed aswell to get rid of all stains. A bit daunting to start.

Should have covered windows & wore old clothes :headbang:

I find using a lint remover easier than a vacuum.

Get it in bulk online and keep it boot for a quick roll from time to time.

Hey taz,

My zed is also on the street. So I thought about using a cover..... Bought one of them buzztop half cover which I now regret buying it has scratched all the top edge on my car. It's probably going to cost me £200-300 maybe more. It's well pissed me off. I would leave a cover off and just look after it I know it can be a pain. Will upload some photos

Hi Taz, my car lives outdoors all year too - I bought a half-cover from here

https://www.classicadditions.com/car-covers/outdoor-car-covers/waterproof-half.html

£45 - fully waterproof, I use it in the winter months - its quick to put on (can be a challenge in the wind!) and does the job
