sells for £15k in pristine condition, but due to a small amount water ingress, probably would sell for £10k.

It was awful when it was new. Can't imagine the wash has improved it.
Had one as a co car and it was by far and away the biggest pile of shite I've ever driven. Personally I'd push it back into the water to hopefully never see it again.

Considering how old it is and how long its been in the water it looks in pretty good nick.
I would bet if you left one sitting open to the elements for that length of time there would be nothing left.

The wheels are even turning when it's winched up the beach. Not bad for all that time. I've had two of these and although they are a bit pants there is something about them that's cool. I think it's why I love my coupe, d shape rear windows n all!

I had a maroon 1.6 Capri Laser on, I think, a B prefix plate which got nicked and was never recovered.

I replaced it with another 1.6 Laser in Petrol Blue.

I thought they were OK for the money.

I had an orange one  with a black vinyl roof  At the time it was the best car I'd ever owned

(We're talking a history of fluffy dash Vivas, Diarrhoea coloured Marinas, Optic steering wheel Allegros - Oh yes a prime list of the worst UK cars - unbelievably, I'd even owned more than one example of some of them :o  )

:driving:

I had a 1983 2.0 GL, it had to go when our daughter was born, but it was a fine car for it's time.
