Corrosion Warranty

Hi Guys

Will be buying my Z4M soon

But was wondering what the corrosion warranty is on these or is there different warranties for different bits

Thanks Mitch

Is this on a coupe as the tailgates are known to suffer from corrosion.

It's 12 years though, but would be sure they will wiggle out of it unless they have done all the servicing, claiming stone chip damage etc.

Agreed!
Mercedes Benz pulled the same stunt on a known rust problem on my wife's car.
It wasn't 12 years old either !

12 years on all Z4M's

I have successfully claimed for a new tailgate due to a small ring of bubbles that have appeared on the inside of the tailgate.
Went to Bmw body shop, they took pics, scanned service history and new tailgate was approved in 6 days.

Car booked in for 29th sept..

That's a good outcome and top marks to BMW .

Yes 12 years. I have a mate with a 11year old e46 M3,just had front wings & sills done under warrenty last week. They were out with paint thickness gauge telling him it had been painted on the bonnet & bumpers etc. Done all the sills & door shuts & wings. Also injected resin into the rear sub frame as its prone to cracking. Great service if you ask me.Good luck

So ho did he prove it hand't been repainted if they used a gauge?

Should be easy really I guess as resprayed panels are normally over 200 where as factory paint is around the 130 mark. And if the front end had been done it would have higher readings than the rear also.
