They also made our lovely cars for us.🙇‍♂️

    Fifth Gear Z4 vs 350Z

I've never owned a Japanese car, but I was always under the impression that they were super reliable. I've been educated

But in the defence (defense) of Americans, they can at least quickly build smooth, wide roads and don't tend fill the verges with copious amounts of litter (unlike modern Britain).

    Fifth Gear Z4 vs 350Z

Off topic slightly, my son had a 1998 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 Tiptronic (or 996.1, for smorris_12 :p ) and I would say the performance was very similar to my 2007 Z4 3.0Si Auto. The major advantage was that the 911 was much more comfortable in which to drive longer distances since the suspension...

    Tracking being done.

Like smorris_12, I did my own wheel alignment after changing the front wishbones and inserting PU lolipop bushes. I could physically see the front wheels were toeing out considerably. At first, lying on my back under the car, I almost gave up on trying to undo the solid trackrod lock nuts, but...

Higher profile tyres at rear for comfort

Off topic - My original post was written on my PC with the default black text on a white background. The Z4-forum app has a black background with white text on my phone, so what do I need to do to ensure my PC's black text can be seen on the app's black background ? (without me having to write...

    5E40 Steering angle implausible SOLVED!

Thank you very much Zedebee. :) I recently changed the front suspension wishbones plus swapped the lollipop bushes for Polyurethane ones. This caused the steering angle sensor to get upset after a couple of days of driving. I was trying to find somewhere to reset it in the "Steering...

Higher profile tyres at rear for comfort

Curiously, when I look at this thread on my phone the text that I wrote along with the photos does not appear. It displays OK on my PC though.

Higher profile tyres at rear for comfort

I no longer like a rock hard ride but I still enjoy the Z4 for its speed and open top motoring. My Zed has 18" wheels with sports suspension. The car was getting too bumpy for me so I decided to experiment with slightly higher profile tyres at the rear. I changed from 255/35R18 (Michelin) to...

Adding a Voltmeter and usb socket to E85 Dash

I did that option with integrated voltmeter, but you might want to remember to give yourself another way to power the 12v tyre pump. I carry a socket to connect to the battery, like this : https://www.eurocarparts.com/p/carpoint-12v-cigarette-lighter-socket-with-battery-clamps-10a-550775000

    Oil choice ?

Castrol Edge and Magnatec seem to reduce the infamous N52 tick for me.
