    Power-fold mirrors - pre-wired on February 2004 E85?

Did you keep the door looms from the breaker you have/had? If so then you can use wires from those to add to your current door looms. The wires will be the wrong colours but will be the right length and have the pins on both ends you need. Label the wires both ends so that you or anyone else...

    Power-fold mirrors - pre-wired on February 2004 E85?

Well I can see the 3 wire colours i listed above, so yes, it's likely. The colours I listed work like this: Red/white: will be red with a white stripe. The red will be slightly more dominant than the white. A white/red wire will be a white wire with a red stripe with slightly more white...

Kansas Walnut seat restoration – looking for dye and stitching recommendations

I thought it wouldn't work. Like I said before, remove the seat from the car, then remove the large plastic panel off the back of the seat. With the panel off you'll then see how the leather clips onto the metal frame. Release the leather and then you'll likely have enough room to pass a normal...

Clean all the contacts within the door switch but most importantly the areas circled in red. Use contact cleaner or 99% Iso.

    Daily driving an E85?

I used my Z4 from October 25 to February 26 and did 10k miles. My usual daily failed the Mot and I took my time to find a replacement. I had no problems using it as a daily. It's a good reliable car. If I did it again over winter I'd fit winter tyres as I do a lot of country driving.

    E46 M3 seats

I've always thought the M135i seats would work well in the E85: https://z4-forum.com/threads/f40-m135i-seats.142113/ Regarding fully electric seats, you can trick them into working which I did on my E89 seats in the E85. However I am quite positive that an electric switch board from an E85...

    Retrofit Cruise Control Diagnostics

I doubt you can measure the data being sent from the cruise control stalk using a multimeter.

    Retrofit Cruise Control Diagnostics

It's your only option now really. It's either the car, the loom or the cruise stalk.

Well they could be pushed in further, there's a tab to lift up, use a stanley knife blade. With the tab lifted up, push them in further and close the tab.

    Retrofit Cruise Control Diagnostics

The cruise stalk could be faulty, however pins 1 and 4 don't look like they are pushed home correctly in the cruise stalk connector.

    Retrofit Cruise Control Diagnostics

Double check the connector that plugs into the cruise stalk has the wires in the correct order. The E46 and E85 have the wires located differently. If whomever you bought the loom from makes them for both models they could have gotten confused and positioned them incorrectly.

    Isofix Bracket

I'm glad the instructions helped you. You're correct, the seat base wants to be in its highest position. I do this before removing a seat, regardless of being electric or manual, because it makes getting to the bolts and the connector underneath easier. 👍
