3.Oi in the UK is M54, I don’t think you can put an N52 3.0Si intake manifold on an M54 without significant expense and some sort of adapter. You’d then have to have it remapped, I’m guessing that the expense would be significant for relatively minimal gain.

Check the customs position on second hand car parts from UK. I sent someone a steering wheel a few years ago and they ended up paying a fair bit of VAT & import duty even though it was second hand. Can’t remember which country it was, but definitely continental Europe.

E85 /E86 /E89 - 3.0 N52 is the sweet spot in the range for performance, reliability and cost across all of those. I love my Alpina, but they’re rare and, so, expensive compared to E85 3.0Si

I think the Michelin Supersports fitted to the M40i are a bit too ‘summer only’. I’ve had the car out for a proper drive a few times over the last few days and the it’s felt completely different and confidence inspiring, must be the heat as the tires are transformed. IMHO something like PS4S...
