    N20 4 cylinder turbo

I guess so, it was back in 2012, the positive thing back then when I bought the Zed was BMW were doing crazy deposit contributions on their PCPs for the Z4, think I got 8k contribution at £299 a month, which was pretty decent, you wouldn't get that now. I remember I test drove a 2,3 6cyl and...

    N20 4 cylinder turbo

The N20 was why I wished I'd gone for 6cyl when I bought my Zed. Was never happy with it from the off, always tappety accompanied by a loud whine when cold which BMW never found the cause, they changed a few solenoids but it never went away fully. It was a shame as I would have kept the car for...

The Library an ode or is it an epitaph?

I've been on here 12 years trying to sell a Z4, still no takers 😀 Tim.

What a difference when you're not being rugby tackled or strangled 🙄 Tim.

To sell or not to sell....that is the question

If it's going to make a nice profit then if it were me sell it, although if there is no ownership pleasure either then cut your losses anyways. It sounds like the enjoyment was the challenge of the build which has been met. It just seems a little pointless it sitting gathering dust especially...

    Members gone but not forgotten

I lost a fair few years on my workplace pension as retired at 58, I just thought well I can carry on making my pension fatter only to drop down dead or finish work whilst still healthy and enjoy life. The problem is you can't predict the future and you can't take wealth with you. My dad never...

Very true, I'm blessed in retirement with lots of hobbies so it's very rare I'm stuck with nothing to do. Problem in the last years of working I was always clock watching so it was time to go as I didn't want this epitath 😅 Tim.

    Flipping Windows!

The one thing I find really annoying with Windows Iain is they bring out a new version that won't run on your hardware, as in version 11 which wont run on my DELL so people are more tempted to buy a new laptop or PC. And we are supposed to be living in a more environmentally conscious world 🙄 Tim.

If you don't want time to pass quickly, don't retire. Since retiring it's quite scary how the days, weeks and months are literally flying! Tim.

    Flipping Windows!

Strange update. Been doing some Googling as still perplexed as to why the laptop was still playing up not loading certain websites, or it kind of half loads them minus any images etc, yet other sites were loading fine. I found some fixes to try in Windows 10 which I was going to have a look at...

    Flipping Windows!

Yes I've heard Norton can be a bit intrusive, I've been using it for years and just find you have to manage it a little to minimise it's background processes, one of the reasons why I was thinking of giving Apple a try and leave all that behind. Tim.

    Flipping Windows!

Just checking and the the laptop is running 99 background processes but all at 0% of CPU and running 3 apps which are Firefox, Norton360 and Sticky Notes which is only using between 3 to 10% of CPU and 58% of memory. All the Windows security stuff is disabled as I'm running Norton 360, I'm not...

    Flipping Windows!

It has an SSD but I don't think it's being overloaded as I don't have that much saved on the laptop. Tim.
