You can get them on eBay for slightly less money so not particularly cheap. They’re a good product though. I use it on my E89, which hasn’t got stop start, and it kept the battery in good condition for the 6 months it was Sorned during the early period of COVID when I couldn’t use the car.

I keep reading that roof closing can be coded but where Is the proof that anyone has ever done it? As far as the OP goes the only realistic way to achieve what he wants is to fit a SmartTOP module. Not cheap but it works and gives other options as well.
