Thread resurrection time. My car has this problem too. If there a relay box or fuse for the cooling fan? I've checked the fuse box behind the clove box but there's nothing in there. I've got a 2006 E86.

I've owned my Z4 Coupé for just 6 days. Loving it so far. I just found this forum so I'll be doing some research for information. I do most of my own maintenance and as my car has little BMW history I won't harm the value!
