I’m not sure disconnecting ting the MAF is a sure fire test. I’ve had one that did it regardless. The only thing that fixed it was a replacement known good MAF. That’s said it’s only one possibility. The other worth checking it whether you have a torn diaphragm in the brake booster. (Big...

That’s a symptom of a faulty MAF sensor especially if on cold startup.

Enuff_zed is bang on with his torque specs but it takes a brave man to hit 64nm on that top nut. The hex fitting in the shock never feels like it can cope. Maybe I should be torquing to spec once on the car??

At the risk of upsetting a few; Stereo types and looks. Hairdresser daily vs weekend toy. The E89 is a better car. Quieter, comfier, smoother, sensible.. softer. The E85 is a hobby, an event, raw but full of character. IMO of course!
