Installed this stitch on Steering wheel cover that I got off AliExpress. Considering it cost only £4.29, I was surprised by how quickly it arrived & the overall quality. Took about 1.5hrs to install with the steering wheel still in place. Won’t be a long term solution, but will do the trick...

Gave the Z a full wash and prep, all ready for Ultimate BMW next weekend 😎

New clutch & flywheel fitted last week which has resolved the surging revs issue 👍🏻 That completes the expensive jobs for now - I hope! Treated her to a full decontamination wash, 1 stage machine polish & ceramic coating today 👌🏻 all ready for the year ahead and couple of planned meet ups 😎

CDV has been removed. I was hoping the fault was down to the CDV but after it’s been taken out, the fault remained. Good question… I’d be inclined to say you can hear the engine revs rising. As I say, it’s like the clutch is still engaged when you put your foot down.

In a word, yes. Let’s say at 2000rpm you floor it in third gear, the revs jump up-to 2500rpm, then drop back down and build smoothly with the engine/acceleration. The car does accelerate but the revs have this initial jump and drop. I can only put it down to the clutch on its way out, but...
