What have you done to your car today?

Today I changed my spark plugs, after recent rough firing and one “cylinder 6 misfire”. First time I’ve done spark plugs so was a bit apprehensive, but it was very easy indeed. I also sorted my hard top, which was making a noise over 40mph. The allen bolt was rounded so couldn’t do much, but...

Having just bought a hardtop that didn’t come with the the tool, I’d be up for buying one of these as well.

    E85 Hardtop - Midlands

Pending any disasters (which have been fairy common recently to be honest!) this has now been sorted.

    E85 Hardtop - Midlands

Hi all - Now summer is here and the hardtops start moving around again, I'm looking for a Sterling Grey or Black hardtop (it's for a SG car) and whatever it needs to come with to get it onto the car. I'm in Telford, so ideally looking somewhere mid-wales, midlands etc. Hit me up! Steve

    No roof power at all

And just tried it this morning and it's all OK. Roof works and even the air-bag light has gone off again. :-)

    No roof power at all

Thanks - I've printed a fuse list to check over tomorrow. And I think I will order a new battery as well.

    No roof power at all

Right. Due to water under the passenger carpet, in recent weeks I have: 1. Disconnected the battery 2. Removed the passenger seat 3. Dried it out 4. Put it all back 5. Plugged the battery back in The battery was dead, so trickle charging it, but after a while there was enough to start up...

Water under passenger seat – its not always blocked drain holes

I have just been drying mine out for the last two weeks for exactly this. I took the passenger seat out, propped the carpet up a bit and left a couple of mini dehumidifiers in there. I will take the door panel off this weekend to check the membrane seal. The foam was sopping wet.

Bought a pressure washer and snow foam lance :)

After seeing the great foam coverage, that I've never had before, I bought the same foam and lance yesterday, and they just arrived. Hopefully if the rain/hail/snow weather decides to clear up over the weekend I'll be able to give it a go.

    Monkey exhaust tips

Mine arrived this morning - and they are on (no pics yet as my car is undergoing a process of being sorted). I just need to look at the various pics in this thread to see how other have staggered them. Excellent work! Thank you.

    How to Remove your Seats...

Thanks for this - took out the passenger seat today for a clean underneath (and to help get some moisture out of the car). Worked perfectly. Will do the driver's seat when I get some time.

And it arrived today as promised. I'll try it out later today if I get a chance.

Group Buy - "Cabrio Shield" Soft Top Cover/Protector

Their email address is [email protected] ; I've been told that mine will ship tomorrow. You might want to wait until I get mine in case (a) I don't get it or (b) it's not what was advertised. Based on that fact that "Buzz" who everyone dealt with last year passed me on to this new lot...

Group Buy - "Cabrio Shield" Soft Top Cover/Protector

It's a year later, and I've just ordered a "Buzz top". The ownership of the company has changed hands, but the new owners will also offer the same 10% for direct purchases. I'll be back on here to confirm the cover's OK, just in case things have changed...
