Nice car! Like the alloys - think they might be from the newer E89 model.

2004 Z4 2.5 SE - back behind the wheel of a BMW for the first time in years

Got the brake fluid changed and the roof drains cleared at BMS in Leatherhead. Excellent independent BMW specialist - highly recommended. Car is still running well. Looking forward to taking it on a long run down to Devon next month.

Driving the Z4 during the winter?

Nice luxury to have on a convertible. Not cheap though!

Driving the Z4 during the winter?

I've had coupes in the winter before and this is a pain in the bum when the temperature drops below zero overnight. The glass freezes to the door seal, but the electric window motors still try to drop the glass by a couple of cm when you open the door. Can't be good for the window motors or the...

2004 Z4 2.5 SE - back behind the wheel of a BMW for the first time in years

Gave the engine bay a good clean. It was pretty grubby in there before I started!

    Bonnet badge

Bonnet badge is 70mm diameter, not the 82mm size fitted elsewhere on the Z4. Harder to find (and more expensive) than the standard 82mm size. I need to get one myself for my car...

    Hello from South Norfolk

Good luck with your search. Automatics seem quite rare. That budget would get a very nice pre-facelift car, or you might just be able to stretch to a higher mileage facelift model like this: https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201809050177251?atmobcid=soc4 Personally I’d go for a...

Nice car and nice background scenery. Looks so much better without a front number plate (like many other cars)!

    Thoughts on My Z4

Assume you're from the US and this is Savannah, Georgia? The insurance situation may be different over there to the UK. As others have already said, on this side of the Atlantic, the insurance company would have paid out for the car as a total loss in the event of flooding as bad as you...

    Newbie. 2004 3.0l Auto

Nice car. W5 is Ealing in west London, hardly the centre of gang culture, but it could still be something like that!

They’re definitely not mint - the photos are just flattering! The rear wheels in particular need a refurb. I might get them painted a darker grey when I get them refurbed, but I’ll leave that til after winter. Good luck with your hunt for CSL replicas!

2004 Z4 2.5 SE - back behind the wheel of a BMW for the first time in years

Saw your car on your introductory post - looks great. Replacement wheels are a minefield! There are loads of secondhand sets of wheels on eBay, gumtree and on this forum, but finding the size you want in good nick and (ideally) local to you is not easy. Good luck finding something that suits...

2004 Z4 2.5 SE - back behind the wheel of a BMW for the first time in years

Hi, this Z4 is my return to the BMW fold, 6 years after selling my E90 saloon. My family are all big BMW fans, but BMW lost me to Honda when I wanted a 4x4 and got fed up with dealing with BMW dealers and couldn't face the inflated prices of the X3. I bought the Z4 from a good friend, who...
