I had thought if this was the case, then hooking up a head unit would just work. I guess I’ll figure out a way to test the head unit.

So it seems the method to replace the motor from the boot can only be done if the top is stuck up. Mine is stuck down and am not able to get it to raise manually. Tried pulling the red release, and it will open half way and gets stuck. Forced it a little and actually cracked the interior rear...
