Just to make it clear. I only touched on additives. What I was suggesting was using something that would dissolve all the crap without harming anything and then cleaning the system in such a way that all the areas are treated and prepared for whatever coolant etc you decide to use.

Yeah, its a clip on mount and the filters are pretty much the same as what you would mount on a DSLR. I did photography for a few years but I used GIMP. It was free and very comprehensive, not as slick as photoshop but you could do almost everything you could with the full PS paid package.

@darich I was just joking that he used photoshop to clean the car. A better tool when photographing cars or anything shiny/reflective is a polarizing filter that fits over the lens. You can even get them for phone cameras these days.
