Thanks to all of you for replying. Unfortunately I livein Chicago, which arguably has the worst roads in the USA. I don't park on the street, and most of the times that the bumper gets all scuffed up is at various ramps all over the city( gas stations,etc) no matter how slowly you drive through...

I changed to non-runflats and I like it better that way. As far as the bumper, I think I hit it hard one day coming out of the garage and now its a little loose...I tried to fix it by myself but I think I will take it the professionals... Here is the bumper guard I was talking about...

Thanks for the info mate, I think that I will keep the current sizes then... I've been thinking about getting a "bumper protector" which they go for about $100. Are you familiar with those? Do they really protect the lower part of the front bumper? thanks :D

You are right about that, those are the sizes that I gor recomended at tirerack.com. Now, would it be a good idea to use the same tires for front and rear or would it affect performance, handling, etc..

Lets just say that the rear tires look much thicker( distance between rim and the ground is maybe 2-3cm than the front wheels...) What tire sizes do you use? thanks

Sorry for the confusion...I just got the car 3 months ago. I meant that my front tires are lower profile. The rear ones are a lot thicker. So, should I go with a 225/55 instead of a 225/35? wouldn't that make any difference? The car is a 2005 Z4 3.0i with 18's Thanks
