Lovely burgundy E85 on ASDA roundabout in Yeovil today. Around midday.

    Spotted - 20th November 2017 onwards

Lysander Road in Yeovil at about 1230 today. A beautiful black E86 passed me and then I saw an E85 at the lights coming the other way. I gave a wave but the chap was too busy using the loud pedal! :D

What have you done to your car today?

I get the feeling you could be right! Gave it a proper clean inside and out today. Used to think the silver was the best colour, but I couldn't find one I liked. This is definitely growing on me though! Just need to wrap and refresh the interior now and put an aux in.

What have you done to your car today?

Moved my roof motor and pump from it's swimming pool to the boot. Bit of WD40 and it's back to life. First time I've properly got involved in a car other than changing a bulb. Got a bug now. :o

    Roof failed

Rather miraculously, I bit of WD40 in the motor, without taking the motor off the pump, and it's alive! Now to mount it permanently in the boot. Thanks all for the help!

    Roof failed

Good news! Hopefully. Under the cover of 30 degree heat, I attacked. Took half an hour of me, a 6ft 6 man in the boot, legs flying everywhere to get it. The trick for my was lifting and pushing forward toward the passenger seat. Bit of force and snap. Doesn't look like a lot of liquid in there...

    Roof failed

Hero, thank you. Night off tonight but I'll dive in the boot first thing. Been pulling it toward the boot in the hope it snaps but nothing so far. I'm in Yeovil so not far at all. Between you and Alan, the M5 is covered for people I can go begging to if I can't get it.

    Roof failed

Sitrep: The motor is out of the housing and on the plastic tray, covered in water. The cables run under the bottom part of the casing underneath and back up, meaning I need to get this out prior to it being able to reach the boot. I have felt and seen with a camera far down and can't see a...

    Roof failed

Thanks again, Alan. Spot on. I used a hook and managed to pull the top off of the housing. Next problem (and hopefully last) - The motor/pump won't move. I've tried pulling it out the housing and can hear the slush noise of the water in the housing, but it's not moving. Am I missing something...

    Roof failed

Thanks Alan! In my impatience with the sun beaming, I decided to dive in the boot last night and follow some instructions on here. I'm at a stage where the shelf is out, I've unclipped the hydraulic cables around the boot to give them a bit of slack. I've cut a cable tie holding the unit to...

    Roof failed

Hey all, So after thinking about how lucky I am to have a working, unmodified roof on my 54 plate 2.2 Zed the other day, the roof has today failed! Usual symptons of a well watered motor: Windows drop, roof unclicks, silence from behind me and a flashing red light on the controls. I haven't...

    Retrofit Sport button

Thanks all. The steering is the only reason I wanted it, so if that can be coded rather than drilling my dash then I am all for that option! Edit: I do have the manual. If I had an auto, this would be a no brainer for me.

    Retrofit Sport button

Haha, perhaps I should add the question "Is it actually worth doing?" to the mix.

    Retrofit Sport button

Afternoon all, After some browsing around last night, I found that a sport button could be retrofitted providing the cable was present. I had a feel around under the tray and pulled this thing out: So my question for any that have done this, is it simply a case of buying the part for the...
