Yes, the STVR is in the door. I’ll try to at attach a pic. It plugs into the airbag via a wire. The left door has the STVL.

Ok, sounds good. Is there a step by step guide on this forum for programming a new VIN into the STVR? I find it odd that BMW didn’t make one program that can do it all. Why does it take 4 programs to compete one task?

I just ordered the cable on Amazon. So I have to use all 4 softwares? Seems like a convoluted process? But I guess it is what it is. Have you done this before? I’ll pay somebody for their knowledge or over the phone help. I live in Texas.

Does anyone have simple instructions on how to clear this? Local shops around me have no luck, so I figured it’s time that I learn. I replaced my STVR with the identical part number and year/model. I need to reprogram the VIN into the new STVR. Thanks
