    Xenon Headlights - Aaaarghhh !

The message used by the Intravee to turn on the DRLs can also control the levelling function. I noticed this on my E39 when developing it so the Intravee now uses the values reported by the LCM to populate the bytes that in the E39 activated the levelling function. It's possible that the Z4...

    E86 coding extras

I don't think it can be coded in NCSexpert, it's not for older cars, maybe possible for newer. It's definitely possible to add the AE's as DRLs on the Z4, just a question of the best way to do it. To do it 'properly' I'd add two new vehicle types, Z4 and Z4 Face Lift, there would act the...

Because the Z4 requires the 'Main Beam' setting to activate the AE's (side lights) with the current firmware this is not possible. It will need either a setting specifically for the Z4 or a general option to have the main beam lights as DLRs. I'll have a look and see which option is easier to...

The 'lock' message is in the log you posted, but there is no response from the Intravee, it's not trying to activate the lock lights. This means that either : - The Intravee thinks that the key is still in the ignition. - The Exit Light duration is set to 'Disabled'. Could you double check...

Have you set any Exit Triggers?

Yes. Follow the instructions here http://forum.bmw5.co.uk/topic/77586-taking-an-ibus-log-with-the-intravee/

If you can take an iBus log of the 'On Exit' not working I'll be able to tell if this is a problem with the messages not being sent or not being acted upon.

The RLS option will only prevent lights coming on when selected, the default is to come on regardless of the ambient light.

That's quite strange, there is only one routine that controls the lights, the values that are set for Entry, Exit and DLR are all the same. Having the AE's come one when 'Main' is set is odd, but understandable. Having the AE's come on as Entry but not Exit lights indicates that the LCM is...

    Intravee G Accuracy...

The maximum I've seen is a little over 0.7 for acceleration and a little over 1.1 for breaking - slamming the anchors on from 180mph plus gives some really impressive values! But you are correct, particularly for acceleration, the peak values will have been much higher, it's difficult to...

    Stupid Question.....

As I think you've found out, that's the business Nav system, it was only available in the E46, Z4 and X3. It's most of the pro Nav system, minus the monitor. In the Z4 and X3 you get no media slot, in the E46 you got a tape drive. As far as I know the Intravee is the only device that can...

Anything good about the business navigation head unit?

Business Nav is not worth it. You also need a Nav computer as well as the head unit, by the time you've got all that working you could have retrofitted the Pro Nav.
