What have you done to your car today?

That's what I used on mine. I usually use the Armor All kit which is just chemical wipes but there was some marring on the lenses of the Zed so something abrasive was required. Cerakote fitted the bill.

E85 preventative maintenance - what should I do?

Great stuff. Thank you. Even though mileage will be sub-5k per year it'll be getting an oil and filter change annually. I have changed transmission fluid before but on autos. Is it as necessary with a manual? And diff oil is a good shout. No sign of any leaks so far 🤞 Belts are on my list...

E85 preventative maintenance - what should I do?

Good call. Thank you. Luckily I took advantage of BMW's ancient car discount (or whatever it's called) and got an Inspection II done at a main dealer not long after purchase.

E85 preventative maintenance - what should I do?

I've had my '05 2.2i a little while now and so far it's been pretty much pain free. Touch wood. A few niggles easily sorted. The car doesn't present with any faults and there are still a couple of service items I'd like to address (belts, coolant) but I'd like to preempt the "They all do that...

What have you done to your car today?

Ha! What are the chances? The chap at the cafe has a mind to promote this bit of local history. I'd never heard of it. We sat outside chatting but every few minutes something went screaming past. On the road to Monyash we were overtaken in quick succession by a McClaren, a Ferrari and an...

What have you done to your car today?

Didn't really do anything to it other than drive it. We got up a little earlier than normal to head for the Full Throttle Cafe near Buxton. This involved a drive out from west Sheffield to Bakewell, taking the B5055 Monyash Road, through Monyash to the A515 Ashbourne/Buxton road, a right and...

    Fitting the factory hard top?

Obviously it's started lashing it down now so I can't look. Which plastic cover? I assume 1.

    Fitting the factory hard top?

Thank you both. I'll dig out the trim tools and have a look. I'd spotted the Z4 in the supermarket car park a few times and assumed he was a member of staff. Yesterday while driving in he was just in front of me and had the hard top fitted. It looked rather smart so I went over and tapped on...
