    E86 manual swap

What a big garage! Thank you for posting this video, and I appreciate the work you are doing. From a personal point of view, I hate automatics and this will be a great guide for those of us in the UK who want to convert an automatic to a manual.

Old thread here, some of the links may have expired. Get it done as soon as possible; when it goes, it takes the engine with it. https://z4-forum.com/threads/disa-repair-kit-good-or-bad-ones.112510/

    Miami Vice car

A real blast from the past, at a mere £19500, you can relive the past pretending to be Sonny Burnett as you cruise down your local High Street before getting the AA recovery truck to get you home. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/227049538367

    New handbrake mechanism availability.

Part number 34406774798, around £376 new if available. Suggest a second-hand one. You can replace it from inside the car by bending the metal surround rather than dropping the prop.

Buying advice sought. Thoughts on this car?

If you like Mercedes, consider a facelift 171 SLK. Suspension is a bit soft, but it's a great car for the Autobahn and easy to get an automatic

Buying advice sought. Thoughts on this car?

Rusty wheel nuts, bubbling alloys, a worn steering wheel, a passenger door a different colour, a 15-year-old car, then it's a 16-year-old car. Cat S, short for serious trouble in my book, so impossible to sell. Number plate not shown, so you can't see how bad the MOT history is. Avoid!!!

    Hi from Scotland

Just put a possible purchase in the E89 discussion forum with a subheading "opinions on this car, please." Members are only too happy to give their views. One thing I would say about the e89, I saw one car with rust around the front subframe. Take a selfie stick with you and give the underneath...

    First car!

Welcome to the forum! My advice, apart from getting a good reader, would be to watch the car in the wet, especially on roadabouts. RWDs are not as surefooted in the wet as FWDS.

    Low battery

Use the diode function in the multimeter to check the diode; it may have failed

    Low battery

Get a simple voltmeter, check battery voltage after you switch off the engine, and then again before you use it. If the drop is significant, could be a battery on its last legs or a parasitic drain. You can also test the voltage when car is running to test if alternator is charging.
