    Rear shock absorber replacement

Also look into Koni or the shocks from TC-Kline (which are Koni and 'adjustable'). If you get the TCKline ones you'll need an aftermarket rear-shock-mount (i.e. Rogue) because TCKline ones are 'top adjustable' but the adjuster has a thicker diameter than factory mount. The Koni Yellow (Sport)...

    WindScreen Glass NLA(!)

Has anyone who had their Z4 glass recently been able to get "OE" glass like Pilkington, AGC or Saint-Gorbain? In the US I checked with a few reputable glass places and several different vendors have said they can only get Fuyao (Chinese) glass :(.

    Catalytic converter needs replacing

While it sounds like snake-oil, I think cleaning the catalytic converter with oxalic acid + citric acid is a real possibility: https://bobistheoilguy.com/forums/threads/fixing-bad-catalytic-converters-with-p0420.166025/...

Any issues using current OEM BMW throw-out-bearing during clutch/DMF replacement?

Hey all, Has anyone done their clutch recently using the BMW OE TOB and if so, any quality concerns? "Some forums" said the current BMW TOB is also made by LuK and is of lower quality than the factory/OE part (which I think was made by INA). Soon I'll have my Z4's dual-mass-fly-wheel and...

    Poor start when warm. UPDATE

Could be charcoal canister + evap/purge solenoid connected to intake. My car (N52/3.0si) does a rough idle / start on a 'warm start' which I think is because the charcoal canister might be saturated with vapors. You can check this PDF which gives some insight to when the car uses the evap...

WANTED 3.0si front exhaust manifold w/ cat

FYI, Have you considered trying to rejuvinate your cat? Citric acid + oxalic acid. Sounds like voodoo but the science is real. Here are some quick links but some detailed searching should help: https://bobistheoilguy.com/forums/threads/fixing-bad-catalytic-converters-with-p0420.166025/...

WANTED Right side mirror glass, dimming / aspherical-wide-angle

Hi all, If you have an auto-dimming mirror for the right side(European-spec aspherical) for sale, can you reach out? I'd consider buying them as a pair too if you have both. I only need the glass and not the entire housing. I am located in the US but will be visiting the UK in June...

    Koni Suspension Review

Hi @Bolle : Let me know if these pictures help. In the first one you can see what looks like a "metal shelf" that is what interferes with a re-enforcement plate (RSM or other). In the 2nd image you can see the interference when the mount is placed where it should go and it touches the piece...

    Koni Suspension Review

Just to add to this thread: IF you end up getting the Rogue Shock Mounts for the REAR, which support a thicker top-mount tube diameter, then from TC Kline you can source "white" REAR adjustable shocks which are made by Koni (for TC) and fit the Z4 correctly. TCKline's rear shocks include the...

    LED bulbs for e85

I just wanted to hopefully contribute positively back to this thread. I successfully bought from eBay a 'Scanner 1.40 compatible' adapter to re-code the bulb check so I can use LED bulbs for all lights except the Xenon. The PA software is, as suggested, really easy to use and made the process...

Anyone ever replace "folding" window trim on E85 Roadster?

Thanks for this. On one of the Corvette forums someone suggested 'Nextzett Gummi Pflege Stift' as a door seal conditioner which looks like it might help getting these window trim pieces slid in, pricing seems reasonable.

Anyone ever replace "folding" window trim on E85 Roadster?

Appreciate seeing this, but any information on HOW to replace it? I spent a bit of time this evening looking at the trim and it wasn't very obvious to me.

Anyone ever replace "folding" window trim on E85 Roadster?

Can you give me a pointer to this video? I spent a good 30 mins yesterday trying to find a video showing the replacement of the side-window trim but all I found were videos showing replacement of the front windshield trim.

Probably asked before, any suggestions for a decent 2 point strut brace?

I can suggest two more to look at (no personal affiliation): 1) https://cosmoracing.com/en/bmw-e85-e86-m-roadster-m-coupe-2005-2008-3-2l-s54-mz4-z4m-strut-tower-brace-front-strut-tower-bar-bmw That has pretty clean looks and doesn't interfere with the oil filler on N52 but I have Koni...

Anyone ever replace "folding" window trim on E85 Roadster?

Hey all, With the windows up on my Roadster I hear a lot of road noise and observed that the "three piece" accordian-style window gaskets, especially on the passenger side, are deformed and the window can't form a good seal when the roof is up. Has anyone ever replaced these, and if so, any...
