I did wonder that myself when looking at my gaskets against others online. Both sides are exactly the same with the offside possibly being original as it doesn’t have the hole. With only having the car for the last month, I’ve not witnessed any water ingress yet but will be keeping a close eye...

Salmon relay day.

So getting familiar with my new E89. one headlight has been replaced but the other not. Plugged the hole of doom. Also cleaned under the click plates and replaced two of the clicks. Noticed some form of liquid but doesn’t look like water. Any idea??

Grills look amazing, far better than the OEM one. Where did you get it from, might consider for my badly corroded grill

Yep knackered, one door sill missing and one hanging off. The boot ones are split so new ones all round. Will invest in some treatment for others

Hi, After inspecting my ‘new’ Z4 at the weekend, found a few issues with the seals around the boot and door. Looks like a simple fix but being new to BMW ownership, no idea on how / where to obtain replacement parts so reaching out to the community. I’ve attached photos of the offending items...

Thanks for the welcome both. There’s a list of fixes and refurbs first…..noticed that a number of the seals are perished so that feels a needed job. Would like to refurbish the seats and get the alloys done (with new tyre - get rid of the run flats).

Hi everyone. Be gentle please 😂, started my midlife crisis by purchasing this Z4. Car history has been fairly ‘bland’ to date. Honda civic Vti x2, various Seat Leon’s (with mods). 09 with 94k. Fairly tidy but I’m making a list of jobs / upgrades so will be no doubt calling on the experts here...
