Sort of has worked, still a thud at harder shift changed but the clicking has somewhat gone on tip in/out.
Think im going to try and get a friend to look under the car while i mess around with 1st/reverse on axle stands and see if they can spot any movement.
I’ve just finished putting a polybush in the rear mount, as well as packing grease into the spline area behind the input flange with the 30mm nut.
Not had a chance to drive yet but will report back tomorrow!
So pulled the diff off again.
Once loosening the rear most diff bolt there is a massive amount of vertical movement In the diff to the subframe.
The diff hole as well as the central hole on the bush seem to allow a lot of play between one another, could be the cause of the thud.
I’ve...
Ill get some on order. They looked a bit perished when i was removing the ARB to get the diff out, but were still a pretty tight fit. I think the sound is a heavier mass moving around and knocking rather than an ARB knock. Will get them swapped and see if it makes a difference.

Have been getting quite a large thud through the rear of the vehicle when changing medium-agreessively between 1/2/3rd, 4/5/6th not so much. Ive noticed that theres also a slight knock from the rear when tipping in and out of throttle at low speed (3rd at 15 mph ish). The...
Annoyingly for mine, the other connectors also had pins 39 free, so its wasnt immediately obvious that i was trying to put the pins in the wrong connector!
Always keen to put resolutions in on forum posts and I hope it will help someone in the future!
If anyone is wanting to install cruise control, all in it was £300 direct from BMW for the stalk and loom, and if installed correctly, takes about an hour. You’ll need a Philips screwdriver and a...
Many thanks @Cv6benplus and @Alemito on your fault diagnosis.
Turns out there are multiple plugs in the module box in the engine bay that match the colour coding as well as available pin locations for this install.
Id plugged mine into the upper of the 2 plugs in sync, you actually need to...
Steady 9.5v coming out of the blue wire at all times, switches pressed or not.
Continuity is fine between the blue point on the back of the switch all the way to the DME connector point.
Is everyone else’s cruise via CAN set to nein?
If I’m getting only 9.5v out of the blue wire then maybe...
i would have thought the signals would atleast work via Inpa whilst stationary on the test screen though? Anyone with INPA able to test what their car is saying when Cruise is activated stationary?
Not the easiest photos to get but with the connectors on, 12v is making it way through the stalk to the other side on the same terminal.
Continuity test is negative, no connection between the violet and the blue wire when the stalk is engaged in any way.
I’ve prised open the harness connector...
