    Wider front tyre

I can rotate my expensive rubber front-to-back after a track session. With -2.5* of camber, I get no understeer on the track unless I'm being incredibly cheeky. The car went from pushing like mad around every corner to being almost completely neutral. I can point the nose with the throttle...

    Wider front tyre

I'm running 265/35 18" on all four corners (ET35 with 12mm spacers in the rear). I get the slightest rub at full lock. Offset is super-important with our cars.

    Brake upgrade options for Z4M?

Dropped the front calipers off to have the mounting bosses machined per RallyRoad's instructions. Hawk HP-10 pads have arrived. I'm awfully excited, to be honest. :driving:

    M/// understeer advice ( Sorted :)

I went with 265-section rubber in the front and rear, along with an aggressive alignment. Understeer simply vanished for some reason!

    Brake upgrade options for Z4M?

That's not quite what they say. The standard fitment pads leave 5mm unswept; if that doesn't float your boat visually, you can use front pads for a different car - the 2000 2.7L Boxter instead. Don't order two sets of front 996 / Cayman S pads, they won't work for the rear. :) I've got the...

    Brake upgrade options for Z4M?

...and so, "considering" went to "executing" this afternoon. RallyRoad's E46 M3 rear adapters work on the Z4M (because, of course they do) and Eric at RallyRoad pointed me at a beautiful set of red 4-pot Porsche / Brembo calipers on eBay for $tooLowToRefuse. Including pads and the rotors that I...

    Brake upgrade options for Z4M?

The stock brakes with a bit of work are very good. I'm set up with the ECS floating front discs, Hawk HP+ pads, and brass caliper bushings right now, and have found the brakes to be excellent on the track. A relatively inexpensive upgrade that I'm considering (read: planning) at the moment...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1wTzG00CbrA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1wTzG00CbrA ...and then I took another 4 seconds out of that by disconnecting the rear sway (and, obviously, getting a bunch more practice). 2:02.36, damn. The car is a monster. Now I'm going to have to order splitter...

    KW Clubsport Settings

If you really want to kill understeer at the track, I suggest <= -2 degrees of camber at the front, and wider than stock (I'm running 265 section tires at all four corners) front tires. The stock staggered setup is designed to induce understeer, and the MZ4 has lots of room under the front...

    Running temperature

I saw a sustained 125*C at the track today. It was 35*C at the track, mind you.

Trip report: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NdrFMwUNLC4 I knocked nearly 10 seconds off of my previous best lap at this track, and as you can see from the video, there's more to be had. Sector times suggest that I was tracking for a 2:04 on the last lap... :headbang: Car feels absolutely...
