Hi. Thanks for that. No the rad fan does not engage when I switch aircon on.

Took my E86 to get aircon regassed as it was not blowing cool air. Aircon people tell me its fully gassed up with no leaks evident however AC clutch is not operating. Checked fuses and green wire to fan but no luck. Closer inspection of the compressor reveals wire stripped bare (see pic)...
