What did you do to your Z4M today?

Yes, that would be my friend Piers in his 3.0si. We were in a group of 3, the other car being an RX-8 PZ. Many nice UK coupes there!

Took it around the 'ring today. Loved it, what a car.

    Reviving a Neglected Z4MR

I hope you mean you're just replacing the projectors? Straight forward and cheap option as there are plenty of companies who sell LHS/RHS projects.

What did you do to your Z4M today?

They are Cayman S rear callipers (996.352.421 and 996.352.422). I haven't checked the calcs myself, but I believe the bias is moved frontwards 2.3% with my combo. In practice, from the little I've driven with them, it hasn't made much of a difference to how the rear end feels under hard braking...

What did you do to your Z4M today?

Installed 4-pot Brembos all around. Usually I do a lot of research before doing such an expensive modification, but this was very impulsive and only did a couple of days of looking around and research, which resulted in some issues that with more time I would have avoided, but very pleased with...

Thoughts to bring some life to steering

The Michelin PS4/PS5s are relatively soft and I find they feel worse compared to Goodyear Asymmetric 5/6s. Steering feels particularly dead at centre. I made the mistake of going for the PS5s last year, I will be going back to Goodyears whenever I need new tyres. This tallies up with what...

    Propshaft central bearing and guibo

As others have said, removed the prop entirely from the car and it's a very straight forward job. The only 'special' tool I needed was a vice. I didn't need to use pullers. The two things you don't want to get wrong: Ensure to mark the position of the two halves of the drive shaft so they...

    Gower road trip, worth it?

I'm often down there since my girlfriend is from Swansea and her parents live in the Gower. Some of the best beaches I've ever visited are there (highly subjective), I especially like the quieter ones that require a bit of a walk to get to such as Broughton Bay (2 photos attached from last week)...

    Zedfest - Sunday 17th August 2025

I didn't buy a ticket as I was expecting I wouldn't be around for this, but in the off chance I am, worth asking if you are limited to 150 cars total for the day or if one shows up after 1pm once a few cars would have left, would entrance be allowed? I live relatively close, so could ask...

Engine sounds like a diesel car…

I can hear your DMF being noisy and injectors ticking. Both common sounds of the N52. DMF being particularly noisy in all 3.0si I've ever been in, especially at idle and when turning the engine off.

Fuel brands and octanes [Poll included]

Preference in this order: Tesco Momentum, Supreme 99+, V-Power. At least in most places in the UK, both Momentum and Supreme are Ethanol free and possibly 2 RON points higher than V-Power. Video on this. I used my 3.0si as a daily and watched my mpg quite closely then, in my experience, no...
