I solved my problem by getting a shorter and better quality USB extension. Works great with my non-BMW Y cable and iPhone 4s.

Hi, It's wegras that has the iphone5 cable. I've got the 4. Still having problems with it dropping the connection to the car stereo but I'm trying another USB cable soon to see f that helps. Lee

Hi, Did you manage to hide the cabling somehow? At the moment I've slipped it under the edge of the leather on the centre rest, it's not great but just about works. I'll try with a shorter and better quality USB cable and report back Thanks Lee

Hi, I'd like to remove the plastic panels you find under the engine so I can access the back of the front grills. Has anyone done this already and have any useful tips? Thanks
