Sorn’d, laid up. But need to move now…

Uneven driveway I’m afraid. I’ve actually got the car on heavy duty ground protection mats. But it’s coming up at the edges at the back and N/S. So need to move the car to get access. But yes I’m thinking of ways to future proof. So will be getting some weed membrane installed at some point.

Yeah that’s was the conundrum. I know idling to temp isn’t ideal. But needs must and all that. Thanks for your reply

Sorn’d, laid up. But need to move now…

It’s actually coming to the end, but yes still has MOT. I’m actually in half minds whether to even renew it this year. Or let it lapse. I’ve got a lot of other things taking priority so Zed will have to wait until next year or the year after! I can’t drive it as such. The driveway is about 5m...

Sorn’d, laid up. But need to move now…

Evening gents. The Zeds been off the road for around 6 months. Times come to move it to the other half of the drive so I can tackle some pesky weeds… Now I haven’t started it since I parked it up. Battery is fine, charged on the ctek periodically. Should I simply move it and carry on, or...

BMW E85 and E86 Wheels and Tyres Thread

I’ve run 224’s on stock M tyres and the fronts rubbed while the rears were fine. I would keep the standard M tyre size on the rears. From memory it means you’ll get a bit more cushioning due to slightly more sidewall. The fronts will have to be changed. If it’s good rubber try sell it to offset...

Xenon headlight unit - dodgy wire (how easy to replace?)

If it’s just the wire, then don’t replace the whole connector. Trace the cable to find where the break is. It may not be obvious so take your time. Cut out the bad bit and replace only that section of wire. The actual xenon is only fed by a single cable. So assuming it all works apart from the...

I think the reference to back tabs, was the rear access cover bracket-thing. Those sadly don't have repair kits.

Like the above, should be in a box together with the hockey stick indicator pieces. I'll have a poke around the garage this weekend and come back to you both

    WANTED Silver inlays headlights e85

I have some of the inlay pieces, but they aren't mint condition. Would need to be prepped and painted. I was planning on having them hydro dipped. Just not got round to it. I imagine you have spare? If they are however of interest let me know and we can cover on PM. Thanks

    WANTED Silver inlays headlights e85

How did you open the headlight? Did you cut the lens off? Or did you pull it out of the recess in the black shell? Reason I ask, is I have a lens, but from a cut and shut project. So it's not got that inner lip. Similar to the below. See link for full thread...
